Text   | | 1. Read the following text : | A auditoria levada a cabo pelo Centro Carter e pela Organização de Estados Americanos, juntamente com o Conselho Nacional Eleitoral venezuelano, confirmam a vitória do presidente Hugo Chávez.
Os principais partidos da oposição não participaram na auditoria por acharem que a consulta popular foi fraudulenta.
Cesar Gaviria, da OEA, é no entanto claro: "eu não digo que não houve fraude, o que eu digo que não encontrámos nenhuma prova de fraude".
De acordo com os resultados oficiais, 59 por cento dos eleitores votaram a favor da manutenção de Hugo Chávez na chefia do Estado até 2007.
Face ao resultado da auditoria, a oposição recorda outras eleições na América do Sul validadas por estes mesmos observadores e que afinal vieram a revelar-se fraudulentas. |
